FAQ's
How do I choose the correct shoelace length?
If your current laces fit well, remove one and measure it from tip to tip. You can also use our Length Guide for help choosing a length. Eyelet spacing and your preferred lacing style can affect how much lace you need.
How do I choose the right width and shape?
Compare the width and shape of your current laces, and check that replacements will fit through your shoe’s eyelets. You can shop by style or shape. Visit Shop Shoelaces by Width to compare available sizes.
How do I match the color of my shoelaces?
Use Shop Color in our menu to browse laces by color. Colors can look different on different screens. If you need help finding a close match, email us a photo of your current laces.
Can I send photos for help finding replacement laces?
Yes. Email photos to info@shoelacesexpress.com. Include a photo of the shoes, a close-up of the laces and, if possible, the lace length and width. We can help you look for a suitable replacement.
Do you offer custom lengths and tips?
Yes. We offer custom length and tip options. Available options depend on the lace you choose. We do not offer embroidered or custom printed shoelaces. Contact us if you need help choosing a custom option.
Can I buy shoelaces in bulk or for resale?
Yes. We offer bulk and wholesale options. Email info@shoelacesexpress.com or call 706-543-3018 with the lace style, length, color and quantity you need so we can discuss available options and pricing. Complete our wholesale registration to become a verified wholesale reseller.
Do you sell laces for boots, athletic shoes and dress shoes?
Yes. Browse the Boots, Athletic and Dress categories in our menu. Options include aramid fiber boot laces, waxed cotton dress laces and flat, round and oval styles and much more. Check the available dimensions and material before ordering.
Can you help me find replacement shoelaces for my shoe brand and model?
Yes. Customers contact us for help finding replacement shoelaces for shoes such as Cole Haan ZeroGrand, New Balance 840v4, UGG Dagmann and Nike VaporMax. The shoe brand and model are a useful starting point, but lace length, width and shape can vary. Email info@shoelacesexpress.com with the model name, photos and any measurements you have. We can help you look for a suitable replacement; an exact original match may not be available.
How do I find the right shoelace length if my original laces are missing or broken?
If one complete lace remains, measure it from tip to tip. If both laces are missing or broken, count the eyelet pairs—one pair is one hole on each side of the shoe—and use our Shoelace Length Guide as a starting point. Include any boot hooks used in your lacing. The spacing between eyelets and your lacing pattern affect the length needed. If you are unsure, email us a photo of the shoes for help.
Should I choose 45-inch or 54-inch shoelaces, or another length?
Choose based on your shoes and how you lace them, rather than shoe size alone. A 54-inch lace is 9 inches longer than a 45-inch lace, giving you more length for the lacing and bow. If your current laces fit well, match their measured length. If they are too short or leave an oversized bow, use our Length Guide to help choose an alternative. If a standard size does not suit your needs, check our custom length shoelace options.
What are aglets, and do you offer shoelaces with metal tips?
Aglets are the tips at the ends of shoelaces. They help prevent fraying and make it easier to thread laces through eyelets. Most laces come with a plactic tip. We offer custom metal tip options as an upgrade that are hand-crimped onto each lace. Custom laces require a metal lace since they are cut to size, they do not have a plastic tip option available. Visit our Custom Shoelace Lengths and Tips page to check available options. Make sure the tips you choose will fit through your shoe’s eyelets.
